The Talladega spring race had some late race drama as Tyler Reddick snuck his way through a massive wreck on the final stretch to claim his first win of the season and lock himself into the playoffs.

Michael McDowell looked to have the dominant car after starting on Pole and leading a race high 87 laps. He was out front coming out of turn 4 on the final lap before getting too aggressive with a block on the 6 car and wrecking. The wreck ended up collecting most of the field and McDowell finished 31st.

The Toyotas had a strategy of their own as they all pitted ahead of the field late in the race. The gamble was looking like it would pay off until their drafting line wrecked, knocking out Hamlin, Wallace and Jones.

Points Leader Kyle Larson had to start from the rear and serve a pass-through penalty for unapproved adjustments to the roof rails before qualifying. The 5 teams car chief was also ejected, and 3 pit crew members were already suspended for the wheel issues last week. Kyle had some jokes about the situation on X:
