Hamlin Steals Win In Overtime

Source: Joe Gibbs Racing
Denny Hamlin was able to capitalize in overtime after a Richmond race that Kyle Larson and Martin Truex Jr dominated in. After Martin Truex Jr. took the lead in the second half of the race it looked like he was on his way to win until Bubba Wallace spun out Kyle Larson with 2 laps to go which threw a caution. Denny Hamlinβs pit crew had an incredible pit stop which allowed him to jump 2 spots and start in front of overtime, setting him up for his second win of the season.
Martin Truex Jr. came up short after leading a race high 228 laps and showed his frustration at the end of the race while door slamming Kyle Larson.
Short-track drama on a Sunday!
